Commissions Portraits
And Other Paintings . . .
I have painted a wide variety of commissioned work. Portraits are my specialty--children as well as adults, and posthumous portraits. I’ve also painted house pets, horses, homes and businesses, and even a cherished aircraft. Some clients prefer my pointillistic style while for others I’ve done more tightly detailed renderings.
If you wish to explore the commissioning of a portrait or other subject, here is how to proceed.
- Set up an appointment for sitting for the portrait. The pose, clothes, background, size and other objects for the portrait will be determined at that time. A photo session may also be planned, especially for a childs portrait.
Or
- Provide a good photograph or two that best depict the subject and the mood.
- Indicate what you’d like included in the painting, e.g. for a person, head and shoulders, three-quarters or full-length.
- Determine what size and dimensions you’d like the work to be (unframed).
